COA (Christian Outreach in Action) is a Christian ministry to the homeless. They provide free breakfast/dinner M-F, 12 units of transitional housing for women and children, and a men's transitional housing program.
Covenant Presbyterian is a downtown church with a calling to reach their community. Covenant provides tutoring, homework help, sports programs, ESL, computer classes for children and youth.
Food Finders feeds those in need by collecting and distributing food to missions, senior centers, children’s homes, and treatment centers.
Hillcrest Care Center is a residential facility for the elderly and patients with Multiple Sclerosis.
Meals on Wheels provides home-delivered meal services to people in need. MOW recently added books and books on-tape as a service for their clients.
New Hope Grief Support provides support groups, education, and tools for people who have suffered the loss of a special person.
Padua House is a home for men who are living with AIDS in Long Beach.
Precious Lamb Preschool is a Christian preschool for young children and their families who are experiencing crisis.
Precious Life is a shelter for pregnant women in danger of being homeless. A full service organization, there is a transitional home and apartments onsite for women after they deliver their child.
TLC Ministry demonstrates Christian love and support to teen moms, dads and their children by providing Lamaze classes, Bible studies, and baby showers.
